Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup

Worcester Warriors hosted an exciting and competitive Under-12 grassroots tournament recently, the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup.The successful series of nationwide tournaments continues to grow and allow young rugby players to showcase their capabilities in a professionally run environment.

The under 12 final was a fantastic spectacle for those in attendance, with the impressive Worcesterkeeping their composure to secure a fine victory over Bromsgrove, while Droitwich won the Plate competition beating Burton. A total of 16 teams took part in the competition.

As well as winning the tournament, the young players have also won places in the prestigious Land Rover Parade of Champions where they will be presented to a sell-out crowd at Twickenham during the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final next May.

Participating players at the festival also had the opportunity to meet Warriors players Josh Drauniniu and Ravai Fatiaki who took time out of their schedules to watch the young teams as well as offer some coaching tips between games.

The Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup, now in its fifth year, has seen over 30,000 children take part from all over the country. So, get involved and support the young stars of your local clubs, who are all battling it out to realise their ambitions of regional recognition and also for an incredible prize.

Warriors will be holding the club’s next event on April 14 when the U11 Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup takes place in Dudley.
