Ravai Fatiaki revealed that Warriors’ late loss to London Irish was heart-breaking.
Warriors dominated periods of the game and, despite tries from David Lemi and Ignacio Mieres, they were pipped by a late Ian Humphreys penalty.
And the centre said it was a hard result to take.
He admitted: “It was heart-breaking to lose like that. We had lots of opportunities but we just couldn’t convert them.
“We had to work really hard, running all the way from our own line up to theirs and really gave it our all in trying to win the match.”
Despite the loss, Warriors did pick up a bonus point and their number 13 felt that there were positives to take from the match.
The Fijian was at the heart of some superb passages of play in the backs.
He added: “We’ve been working hard in the backs this week and I think you could see that today as we had some really good flowing moves.
“It was a good performance from the guys but we just couldn’t quite see the game off.”
Warriors welcome Harlequins to Sixways on Friday night in their second home match of the week.
Fatiaki concluded: “The fans were brilliant today, they were with us the whole time and you could feel their presence.
“We can’t dwell on the Irish game now, we just have to look forward to Quins.
“They have England stars and it will be a good game but it would be great if we can get a full-capacity crowd to cheer us on.”
