Get digging out any of your unwanted clothing because at Friday’s match against Harlequins at Sixways, we will be holding a clothes amnesty in aid of SIFA Fireside.
We will have a collection bin outside the main reception and a collection bin outside the North West turnstile so if you have any clothing you don't need anymore, bring it to Sixways and make good use of it!
Worcester Warriors players have linked up with several charities across the Midlands this season as part of their community investment programme and one in particular is SIFA Fireside, based in Digbeth, Birmingham.
SIFA is a dynamic charity working to tackle homelessness and alcohol misuse and works with people aged 18 and over with no upper age limit.
The service users of the charity need sleeping bags, waterproof jackets, trousers, jeans, jumpers, t-shirts, hats, gloves and good footwear.
Earlier this month, some of the Warriors players were cooking and serving breakfast for 120 service users.
And Warriors lock Dean Schofield said: “Many of the service users we met are living on the streets or in squats, and the charity is desperately seeking items of clothing to stock up the store ready for winter.
“We are all going to look through our wardrobes at home and donate items that we think will help.
“We know our supporters are generous and we need as much help as we can to make sure these people are equipped ready for the winter.”
Our ‘HITZ’ boys will be on standby at clothing banks as supporters make their way into the ground on Friday.
