Dean Ryan has urged his side to show the same motivation they displayed against Harlequins when they travel to London Wasps next weekend.
Warriors were defeated 37-13 by a strong Harlequins side at Sixways on Friday night but maintained their spirit throughout.
Ryan said: “This isn’t a group that lacks motivation. You get an individual to the edge of exhaustion and doing everything he can within his control.
“This group is well-motivated. I’m enjoying coaching them and any bloke that goes to the wall like that – times 20 of them – I’m pretty happy to defend and work with again next week.”
Warriors went toe-to-toe with their counterparts for a third of the match before Harlequins built a lead in the closing stages of the first-half.
And, despite the loss, the Director of Rugby was pleased with the courage his team showed.
He continued: “Sometimes you have to accept you’re second best. We were well beaten and within 50 minutes. I thought Quins were excellent for 40 or 50 minutes and their offload game – we didn’t have an answer for.
“In the second-half we showed an awful lot of courage and worked really, really hard to try and stay in that game but we couldn’t.
“I think the crowd have a lot to shout about when they see their home team throw themselves to the point of exhaustion.
“If my team represent me in a way that they give me everything they’ve got then I’ll shout all day for them and I thought they were great at that.”
Warriors travel to Adams Park to face London Wasps next Saturday and Ryan admits his team will turn their attention to that encounter as soon as they return to training next week.
He added: “We can try and close the gap and see what happens. We’ve got to wipe our wounds and move onto the next game.”
