Su’a excited for Friday night lights

Jeremy Su’a admits that Warriors are targeting a repeat of last season’s Friday-night home form, when they clash with Harlequins this evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

Warriors won five of their six Friday night matches at Sixways in the 2012/13 season, which proved to be vital in their Aviva Premiership campaign.

Su’a said: “I’m looking forward to Friday night’s match and hopefully we can repeat the good form that the guys produced on Fridays last season.

“I’m excited about being part of the Friday night lights and hopefully I’ll get on the pitch and we can get a good result.”

Harlequins come to Sixways on the back of a 16-15 victory against London Wasps in their opening game, before a 13-6 home defeat to Northampton last weekend.

And the Samoan international says Warriors are confident going into battle with the 2012 Aviva Premiership champions.

He added: “I know they have a few individuals that play for England so they’re going to be strong opponents.

“They’re a tough side that play high-tempo rugby but we’ll be looking to turn them over tonight and we are confident going into the match after last weekend’s performance.

“There were good opportunities to win against London Irish and there will be opportunities again tonight which we will have to take.”

Following a difficult start for Warriors, the scrum-half reiterated that there is a long season ahead.

And after featuring in both of Warriors’ opening two games, Su’a believes there are plenty of encouraging signs to take from their performances thus far.

He concluded: “It’s a long season and we’ve got to stay positive. There’s a lot to take from the last couple of games.

“There were some good periods of play but we still need to improve and we are working hard towards getting that first win under our belts.”

Tickets are available for tonight's game and start from just £19.50 for adults and £11 for juniors. To purchase tickets call the Warriors Box Office on 01905 459309 or click here.
