Senatore begins Warriors career after Sixways arrival

Argentinian international Leonardo Senatore will begin his Warriors career after arriving at Sixways last week.

The back rower linked up with his new team-mates before turning his attention to impressing Director of Rugby Dean Ryan.

And the 29-year-old admits he was delighted to finally join his new team-mates in Worcester.

He said: “I played here for Argentina against Warriors in 2011 and I was impressed – it is a really good place.

“I’m really happy to be here. The club has a very good structure. And I look forward to playing because I really like the club.”

Senatore will be one of four Argentinian players at Sixways when fellow countrymen Agustin Creevy and Mariano Galarza arrive at the club following the conclusion of the Rugby Championship.

And, according to the forward, the new players will find it easy to settle in at Sixways.

He continued: “It’s good because we’ve all known each other for a few years and we know how each other play. It will make us more confident.

“The fans are excellent here and their support will help us to play well. I want to play at a really good level every weekend and I want to be part of a good side.

“I was here on Friday when we played against Harlequins and the atmosphere was good. I am ambitious to play and do what I love.”

Senatore has already seen the impact of Dean Ryan on the training pitch and admits he can’t wait to pull on the gold and blue shirt.

He added: “Dean Ryan is a very good coach and has a lot of experience. I already know him because he was an excellent player.

“The coaches will help us to play at our maximum level and if we work hard, we will start to get some good results. I can’t wait to get started.”
