Stelling aiming to make most of every opportunity

Max Stelling admits he wants to play as many matches for Warriors as possible this season and make the most of every opportunity he is given.

The young centre capped his second start of the campaign with a superb try during last Friday’s victory over Cardiff Blues.

With Stelling set to start against for the visit of Leicester Tigers tonight, the youngsters says he will be doing all he can to impress.

He said: “I want to play as much as I can and keep working hard. When I get a chance to play I will try and take it with both hands and see where it takes me.”

Warriors tasted their first success of the season last time out after a breath-taking first-half display at Cardiff Arms Park.

And Stelling admits he was delighted to help his side secure an LV= Cup victory.

He continued: “I enjoyed going to Cardiff and getting a win. Every player was really happy to get the victory and there were some real positives.

“It was good to get a try and I was pleased to contribute to the overall effort of the side.”

Warriors go into Friday’s game looking for back-to-back victories for the first time since October last year.

And, according to Stelling, his side will take confidence from their maiden victory.

He added: “You can’t underestimate that first win and we’ll see where it takes us tonight.

“You always get the same with Leicester. They’re very competitive and they always work hard for each other. You expect them to play hard rugby and we’ll expect that tonight.”

Seated tickets for the match are available from £15 for adults and £7.50 for juniors and are available by visiting the Warriors Box Office, calling 01905 459309 or clicking here.
