BT Sport to broadcast Leicester home clash

Warriors will be live on BT Sport for their Aviva Premiership clash against Leicester Tigers at Sixways on Friday 7 February, 2014.

The match against the reigning Premiership champions will kick-off at 7.45pm and promises to be a thriller.

Warriors have led Leicester in their previous two visits to Sixways but the Tigers secured narrow victories in both encounters.

The two sides went head-to-head on BT Sport on the opening weekend of the season and Dean Ryan’s side have also featured live against Harlequins and Bath Rugby.

Warriors will also be live on BT Sport this Friday against Sale Sharks and on Sunday 22 December, when they travel to Kingsholm to battle Gloucester Rugby.

BT Sport will also be broadcasting a live Super Sunday of Aviva Premiership Rugby action during this season’s RBS 6 Nations.

Leicester Tigers will travel to London Irish for the first part of a live double-header on BT Sport on Sunday 23 February, followed by Saracens hosting Exeter Chiefs at Allianz Park.

The matches come the day after England host Ireland at Twickenham and on the first free Sunday of the Championship.

Premiership Rugby Commercial Director Dominic Hayes said: “The audience figures on BT Sport have been way above any estimation this season with the early rounds almost double what they were a year ago, so we expect this Super Sunday to be very popular amongst our fans.

“We always knew that Aviva Premiership Rugby was one of the most compelling competitions in the world and it is great to have a broadcaster who shares our passion for the league.”

In Round 22 of the Aviva Premiership, all matches will now kick-off at 3.15pm.

Fixtures for Round 22 on Saturday 10 May:

Harlequins v Bath Rugby
Leicester Tigers v Saracens
London Irish v Sale Sharks
Newcastle Falcons v Exeter Chiefs
Northampton Saints v London Wasps
Worcester Warriors v Gloucester Rugby
