Warriors host fourth annual charity match for Acorns

Warriors host Saracens in this season’s annual charity match on Saturday 28 December to support Official Charity Partner Acorns Children’s Hospice.

A host of fundraising activities will take place as Warriors go head-to-head with their Aviva Premiership rivals in the final match of 2013.

As part of the on-going partnership, Warriors have given tickets to Acorns to auction and raffle ahead of the match.

On the day of the game, there will be a bucket collection as Acorns raise money for life-limited and life-threatened children and their families.

The club will also be holding a present amnesty behind the North Stand, where fans can donate any unwanted Christmas presents. These presents will then be donated to children or sold at one of Acorns’ stores.

Acorns will also be bringing collection bags to the game so, if you fancy a New Year cleanout, you can grab a bag, fill it with unwanted goodies and take it back to an Acorns store.

Warriors players unveiled this season’s charity shirt last week and they have proved as popular as ever, with fans already ordering theirs in time for the game. Adult shirts are available to buy here. Junior shirts are available to buy here.

Warriors Community Foundation Manager Carol Hart said: “It is a fantastic time of the year to have a great day out at the rugby, while supporting a worthy cause.

“We have a very close partnership with Acorns and our fans always get behind the charity match.

“This season’s charity shirt is the best one yet and a lot of fans I’ve spoken to are already excited about the day.”
