Bromsgrove and Dudley to host junior competitions

Local youngsters will be able to take part in the Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup over the next couple of months.

There will be an Under 12 event at Bromsgrove on Sunday 16 March and the Under 11 event will take place in Dudley on Sunday 6 April.

The Land Rover Premiership Rugby Cup is a nationwide tournament for Under 11 and Under 12 teams.

The ground-breaking tournament was the first of its kind to be officiated by Premiership Rugby and is run in conjunction with all 12 Premiership Rugby clubs.

The youngsters that attend will take part in a series of matches against clubs from the local area.

Professional players will also come along to provide coaching tips and the opportunity for the aspiring players to meet their heroes.

All triumphant teams will represent their Premiership Rugby club at the Parade of Champions at the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final in May.

After the continued success of the past five seasons, in which over 40,000 aspiring young players have taken part in festivals all over the country, we are looking forward to seeing more young stars develop their skills at this year's festivals.
