Arr looking for repeat of last season

Jonny Arr admits he will be doing all he can to ensure history repeats itself when Warriors face London Wasps at Sixways tonight (7.45pm kick-off).

Warriors racked-up four tries under the Friday night lights as they cruised to a 29-23 victory over Dai Young’s side last March.

Arr crossed the whitewash for Warriors’ bonus-point try a year ago and believes he and his teammates can claim a much-needed victory tonight.

He said: “We are all looking for history to repeat itself tonight. We have enjoyed some of our best performances on Friday nights over the years in front of big crowds and we are aiming for the same against Wasps.

“Friday nights are special for me because you get the whole day to prepare yourself, and come 7.45pm you just want to get out there and play.”

Last season’s encounter between the two sides threw up one of the most entertaining spectacles of 2013.

But Arr insists his only focus is on helping Warriors to victory. He continued: “I’d love to grab another try but my only aim is to ensure we get a victory.”

Warriors centurion Arr missed the trip to Adams Park in September due to injury and admits he would love to get one over on his former teammates Joe Carlisle, Andy Goode and Matt Mullan, who are all included in Wasps’ squad.

He added: “I missed the trip earlier in the season to Wasps but I know Joe inside out so hopefully I can use that to my advantage.

“All three of those players had some good years at Worcester and were really good players for us.

“They’d love nothing more than to put one over on us but I’d love nothing more than seeing them leave empty-ended.”
