Sam Betty’s fine try against London Wasps last Friday night has earned him a nomination for Aviva Premiership’s Try of the Week award.
The flanker touched down in the second-half against Wasps after retrieving the ball following a magnificent run by winger David Lemi.
Warriors had possession in their own half as Ryan Lamb switched the ball wide and Ed Shervington offloaded to Lemi.
The rapid Samoan blitzed down the left touchline, skipping past several tackles whilst making 50 metres before James Haskell wrestled him to the ground.
Lemi couldn't find a pass but the support of Betty was on hand and the back-row crashed over the whitewash to send the home support into jubilations.
