Lamb – We will throw everything at Bath

Ryan Lamb confirmed Warriors will throw everything at Bath Rugby this weekend as they look to pull-off the great escape.

Warriors sit seven points behind Newcastle Falcons with just three games remaining in the Aviva Premiership, after picking up two bonus points against Exeter Chiefs last Saturday.

And Lamb said: “We’ve been playing some good rugby but we just haven’t been able to always get over the line.

“I don’t think we’re the worst team in the league. We’ve played some decent stuff and hopefully with the run-in we’ve got, we can pick up some points and keep fighting.

“We might as well chuck everything at Bath and hopefully we can go out and surprise a few.”

After spending most of the season on the sidelines at Leicester Tigers, Lamb admitted he is delighted to finally be playing on a regular basis.

He continued: “It’s good to get some game-time under my belt as I haven’t had a lot this season and I’m 27 now.

“It’s great to come here and have an opportunity. With the other players we have in the squad I count myself lucky to have had the chance in the last few weeks.”

And the stand-off knows the importance of this weekend’s battle.

He added: “Bath have got a good side. They’ve got a very big forward pack and behind the scrum they’ve got dangerous runners and ball players

“We know it’s going to be a massive task. We have to get a result this weekend but we’re looking forward to stepping out on the field.”
