Long-term sponsor and official partner renews support

Worcester Warriors is delighted to announce that one of the club’s longest standing sponsors, Bishop Fleming Chartered Accountants, has renewed its support for the 2014/15 season.

The UK Top 40 firm, which has seven offices across the country in locations such as Bristol, Bath and Exeter has been reconfirmed as an Official Partner of the Club.

The deal includes sponsorship of Director of Rugby Dean Ryan and new signing GJ van Velze.

Bishop Fleming have been WRFC Trading Ltd’s auditors and tax advisers since 1996 when the West Stand and indoor training facility were built and the firm has been a sponsor throughout that whole period as well.

Ties with the club go back even further as the firm has acted for Cecil Duckworth since 1962 and relationship partner Ian Smith is a WRFC ex-player.

As well as its work for WRFC Trading, Bishop Fleming has supported the Warriors Community Foundation since its formation, providing accounting services to the charity without charge.

Ian Smith, Partner in Charge of Bishop Fleming’s Worcester office, commented: “We regard our support of the Warriors and the Community Foundation as part of a long-term partnership.

“No one thought the mission to become a top -six club would be a quick or easy one. We are excited by the plans that Dean Ryan is implementing and the support that the shareholders are giving him and his team.

“We were there at the start, we’ve been through all the highs and lows of promotion and relegation and we look forward to being part of the support network that helps the long-term plan come to fruition.

“But I am hoping my heart doesn’t have another moment like the last-minute of that semi-final against Bedford Blues in 2011.”

Warriors Acting Chief Executive Anthony Glossop said: “We look forward to continuing our already healthy partnership with Bishop Fleming.

“Our relationship over the years has grown increasingly strong and I’m delighted they have renewed their support for the upcoming campaign.”
