Open Day at Bishop Perowne College this Thursday

Don’t miss Open Day and Evening at Bishop Perowne Church of England College this Thursday 18 September.

The College has solid academic foundations, a 21st century outlook and a positive vision to take its students into the future.

Youngsters are able to grow and thrive in a secure, stimulating and friendly environment. Every ability and skill is nurtured and encouraged so students are able to progress in whatever field they choose, be it sports, the Arts or engineering and science.

Already an established specialist arts college and Arts Connect West Midlands Hub School, Bishop Perowne is also developing further its specialism in science, technology, engineering and maths, through links with the University of Worcester and Yamazaki Mazak UK Limited. This link with Mazak will now provide the opportunity of GCSEs in engineering.

The college’s excellent facilities include a full-size, artificial-turf pitch, state-of-the-art science laboratories, a theatre, dance studio, a film recording studio and music technology suite.

The curriculum combines traditional academic and vocational courses and the college, which became an academy in 2012, has an impressive record of success in English, mathematics, science, humanities, design technology, physical education and ICT.

The sporting curriculum covers traditional and modern activities while the extra-curricular programme, which includes a partnership with Worcester Warriors winger Sam Smith, is wide-reaching.

In 2013/14, students achieved considerable success in rugby, football, badminton and athletics.

A strong partnership with the King’s School Worcester, who built the College all-weather pitch, provides many opportunities for gifted and talented students including sixth form bursaries, Latin GCSE and science and mathematics challenges.
