Worcester Warriors are delighted to announce the signing of Romanian prop Alex Gordas.
The 20-year-old moves to Sixways after progressing through the junior set-up at CSM Olimpia Bucuresti in his home nation.
Tighthead Gordas has represented Romania at Under 16, 17, 18 and 19 levels and made his first Sixways appearance earlier this month for the Cavaliers against Gloucester United.
Gordas said: “I’m delighted to move to England and this is a really exciting opportunity for me.
“Warriors are a great club with excellent facilities and they have ambitious plans, which I want to be a part of.
“This is a great place for young players to play rugby and there is amazing support from coaches and staff so I am looking forward to the challenge.”
Director of Rugby Dean Ryan said: “We have been very clear about our focus on developing young players and Alex represents someone who has come to England to progress as a rugby player.
“He is in an ideal environment to do that and we will be working closely with him to ensure he maximises his potential and grows as a player.”
