Warriors pair Richard de Carpentier and James Stephenson helped England Sevens reach the Plate final of the HSBC World Sevens Series in Las Vegas, USA at the weekend.
In their group, England had overcome Kenya, where De Carpentier picked up a try, and also Argentina but suffered a narrow defeat to Canada on their path to the quarter-finals of the Cup.
But South Africa proved to be too strong winning 21-14, leaving England to contest in the semi-finals of the Plate.
Stephenson got himself on the scoresheet as they thrashed the French 26-5 but they were edged 21-14 by Australia in the final.
The next Sevens series is from March 27-29 in Hong Kong.
