Physiotherapist signs-up to Warriors’ promotion bid

Worcester Warriors are delighted to announce the arrival of Long-Term Athlete Development Physiotherapist Natasha Doyle, who has joined the Club from Bristol Rugby.

As well as working with first-team and Senior Academy players at Sixways, Doyle will take a leading role in Warriors’ Junior Academy Centres, overseeing the medical needs of the best up-and-coming rugby stars from across the West Midlands.

Doyle said: “I’m really excited to be at Warriors as it is a club with a very bright future. My first few weeks have been really good and I can’t wait for the challenge ahead.”

The 22-year-old, who also plays rugby for Bristol Ladies, graduated from Cardiff University last summer before joining the medical team at Warriors’ promotion rivals.

And after making the move up the M5, Doyle has paid tribute to the backroom set-up at Sixways.

She continued: “The amount of experienced backroom staff at Warriors is phenomenal and that is crucial to get the players to where they need to be.

“There is no doubt everything is in place here behind the scenes to ensure the Club is successful in the Premiership in years to come.”

And with Doyle working closely alongside Warriors’ youngest Academy players, she is well-aware of the long-term project at Sixways.

She said: “The Junior Academy Centres are a really exciting development and there’s not many other clubs in the country who can rival what Warriors are doing.

“Working with players from the age of 14 will be extremely rewarding when they run out at Sixways one day in the future.”

Warriors High Performance Director Nick Johnston added: “It is a very exciting time to be joining this Club and we are delighted Natasha has made the move to Sixways.

“By having people like Natasha at the forefront of our Academy programme, we are confident that every young player will receive all the support they need to achieve their rugby potential.”
