Who will finish top of the Championship?

As the regular season comes to a climax this Saturday, Warriors will go head-to-head with Bristol Rugby to determine who finishes top of the pile.

Following Bristol’s victory over Warriors on the opening weekend of the season, the West Country side have led for most of the season.

Dean Ryan’s men are currently three points behind their rivals so need to claim victory to have any chance of finishing top.

The Key Stats

Current Standings:
1 Bristol 99 points
2 Warriors 96 points

• A Bristol win or a draw will see Bristol finish top of the league.

• Warriors will finish top of the league if they win the match except in the following circumstance:
– Warriors win the game without a try bonus point and Bristol finish the game with a losing bonus point and a try bonus point. Bristol would finish the season on 101 points compared to Warriors’ 100.

• If both sides finish the season level on points (either 100 or 101), Warriors will finish top of the league due to their superior points difference throughout the season, which will be taken into account as both sides will have the same number of wins.

The team which finishes top of table will be able to choose which leg of the play-off final they play at home, should they qualify.
