Warriors’ Junior Academy squads returned to pre-season training this week as preparation for the 2015/16 campaign gets underway.
The Club’s Under 18s and Under 16s sides are being put through their paces at Sixways Stadium under the guidance of Warriors’ Academy staff.
Players will be undertaking fitness, strength and conditioning training in the early stages of pre-season before moving on to skills-based rugby sessions.
Academy Manager Mark Hewitt said: “Our Under 18s and Under 16s sides are filled with enormous talent and we are set for a very exciting season ahead.
“The introduction of our Junior Academy Centres has enabled us to work more extensively with these players from a younger age so we reap the benefits at this stage of their development.”
Warriors Under 18s begin their league season at home to Yorkshire Carnegie in late October before pre-Christmas clashes with Leicester Tigers and Gloucester Rugby.
The youngsters travel to Northampton Saints and Sale Sharks in January before hosting Newcastle Falcons in the final game of their campaign.
The side will warm-up for the league campaign with home and away pre-season encounters against Leinster as well as a clash with Newport Gwent Dragons.
The Under 16s are not entered into a league but will play a series of matches against other Premiership clubs throughout the season.
They will warm-up with matches against Northampton and Gloucester in August and will also take part in the RFU U16 North & Midlands Festival.
Hewitt added: “Our Junior Academy sides have improved immensely since we put a greater focus on our Academy structure and both age groups are in a strong position to have a good season.
“At Under 18 and 16 level, our main focus is on ensuring we can aid the development of every single player.”
The venue for each Under 18s league match will be confirmed before the season and matches are free for supporters to watch.
