Worcester Warriors are continuing to invest in people to take the Club forward off the pitch after appointing two new members of staff.
Nicky Browne has joined the Club as Staff Development Manager, while Lynette Cutting comes in as Education Officer.
The duo will be key members of the backroom team as Warriors aim to become a Premiership Club on and off the pitch.
Nicky, who moved to England from South Africa 15 years ago, will oversee the Club’s human resources and work closely with Warriors’ staff to help them maximise their potential and develop their own skills within their role.
Before moving to Sixways, Nicky ran her own business for ten years, where she offered training and education packages to youngsters between the ages of 14 and 18 who were not in education, employment or training.
She has also offered consultancy to businesses across the region to help them improve the day-to-day running of their organisations.
Nicky said: “I’m really excited about the challenge of joining a Club which is continuing to lay the foundations for long-term success and I cannot wait to work with all the fantastic staff.
“My role is about creating even more of a buzz in the office and helping the rugby and commercial sides of the business flourish as a team.”
Meanwhile Lynette will be working with Warriors’ first-team and Academy players to support them in balancing their education and training with rugby.
Lynette is a retired Further Education College Principal and also has her own company Cutting Consultancy which uses education and training to improve businesses.
Her son Beck plays in the Warriors Junior Academy where Lynette has been doing voluntary work in monitoring the youngsters’ academic progress.
She said “Warriors are totally committed to investing in their players’ education and training and I am delighted to be part of a Premiership Club where learning for life is seen as an important part of the players’ personal and professional development.
“My role is extremely rewarding as it gives me the opportunity of working with and supporting the first-team and Academy players to enable them to achieve their potential – both on and off the pitch.”
Warriors Chief Executive Jim O’Toole added: “We’re looking to drive up standards of the Club as a whole which will have a direct impact on supporters, who will see even better customer service and an improved matchday experience.
“Lynette and Nicky are extremely experienced in their roles and we look forward to working with them as part of the team.”
