Barbarians name squad for Warriors test

The Barbarians have named their squad to take on Warriors in this Saturday’s battle at Sixways (kick-off 3pm).

With a whopping 549 international caps in the Baa-Baas side, Dean Ryan’s Warriors will face the ultimate test in their first pre-season game of the 2015/16 campaign.

The famous invitation club made history last weekend by beating Samoa 27-24 in the first rugby match played at London’s Olympic Stadium, as they ran-in five tries to beat the 2015 Rugby World Cup outfit.

All Black Adam Thomson and Wallaby Ben Tapuai both bagged a brace of tries and are set to feature for the Barbarians again this Saturday, alongside some greats of the game.

Carlos Spencer takes over the lead coach role while 2011 World Cup winner Ali Williams is in the squad alongside fellow All Black Carl Hayman, who both picked up Champions Cup winners’ medals with Toulon last season.

Experienced international stars such as Australian prop Benn Robinson, Scotland back-row Allister Hogg, and South African centre Wynand Olivier are also named in the side.
