Warriors Under 15s sting Wasps

Warriors Under 15s battled to a 22-17 win over Wasps at Merchant Taylors’ School, London on Tuesday.

Jolby Beech, George Creed, Gregor Leckie and Morgan Monks all crossed the whitewash with Josh Phipps adding a conversion, as the youngsters won by four tries to three.

In a well-fought contest, play switched back and forth throughout but it was Worcester who came out on top.

Outreach Co-ordinator and Recruitment Analyst Dan Lyne said: “We were potent in attack, created lots of opportunities and showed great ambition.

“Defensively the boys were very physical and resilient which was great to see.

“This game was the first time these players lifted at the lineout in a competitive match and they were successful.

“It was fantastic to use a big squad of 34 players from across the North Midlands and Warwickshire, showing the depth of talent we have throughout the region.

“A big thanks go out to parents and coaches at the youngsters’ clubs and schools for their efforts and continued support.”
