Ryan – We are dangerous

Dean Ryan believes Warriors are capable of causing problems for any opposition in the Aviva Premiership after his side claimed a bonus point against Gloucester Rugby at Kingsholm.

The Director of Rugby was pleased with his side’s attacking play after they bagged three tries away from home.

He said: “We look a dangerous side and our third try was outstanding. We look dangerous in phase but we’ve just got to get more field position.

“Ryan Lamb changes the game. He makes good decisions and with him and Ryan Mills we’re very dangerous.

“When we get the ball we know we can cause problems.”

Warriors have been in all three Aviva Premiership contests at the death so far this season and had a chance to sneak victory at the end of today’s clash.

And Ryan admits his side were disappointed not to have come away with more.

He added: “These are not easy places to come but I’m dealing with a changing room full of players who think they can win.

“We’ve got five points and have been competitive in every game.

“Three weeks ago people wouldn’t have seen Gloucester and Sale away as places where we could get something but today we could have won.”

Warriors return to Sixways next week where they face Newcastle Falcons and new signings Jaba Bregvadze and Bryce Heem could feature.

And Ryan admits he’s looking forward to the second home clash of the season.

He continued: “Every week in the Premiership is hard. We’re not targeting specific games because we think we can be competitive every time.

“We’ve been on the road for two weeks which has been tough but we’re back home next Saturday and we look forward to it.”
