Warriors AASE defeat Saracens

Warriors AASE side Worcester Sixth Form College dispatched Saracens’ Oaklands College 38-13 at Nunnery Wood Sports Complex last Wednesday.

Stan Mayne, Baron Abrahams, Sam Hollingsworth, Max Hill, Ted Hill and Dan Batty all got on the scoresheet with fly-half Hollingsworth also adding four conversions.

The visitors took the lead early on through a penalty but Worcester responded immediately with tries from Mayne, Abrahams and Hollingsworth within ten minutes of each other.

Oaklands pulled it back before the break to make it 21-13 but Worcester sealed the win after upping the ante in the second period as Batty and the Hill brothers put their opponents to the sword.

Warriors AASE Manager Ryan Watkins said: “We showed real control in key areas of the game in what was a convincing win.

“The AASE programme is really paying dividends with some youngsters getting opportunities to play for Worcester Cavaliers and hopefully it’ll aid more players during the course of the season.”

Worcester Sixth Form College are next in action away at Northampton’s Moulton College this Wednesday (kick-off 2pm).
