Worcester Warriors have today confirmed the appointment of Steve Thomas as their new Head of Sales.
Thomas, currently Head of Hospitality and Advertising Sales at Sky Bet Championship football club Wolverhampton Wanderers, has extensive experience in sports marketing having worked in the top five divisions of English professional football during stints at Wolves and Kidderminster Harriers.
Commenting on the appointment, Warriors Chief Executive Jim O’Toole said: “This is a role for which we have been recruiting for some time.
“Steve brings a wealth of sales management experience from a very relevant market. He will add significant value to our sales operation as we seek to grow a talented and committed young team and we look forward to having him on board.”
Steve added: “It was always going to take something very special to tear me away from a fantastic club such as Wolves, but having met with the Warriors leadership team it was clear to me that this was an exciting time to be involved with such an ambitious Club as Worcester Warriors.
“I'm extremely honoured to be joining the Club on this leg of the journey and, being Worcestershire born and bred, nothing would make me happier than playing a part in helping the Club realise their vision.”
Thomas, who will manage a team of six business development and client service staff, joins the Sixways set up on January 11, 2016.
