Danny Cipriani
Danny Cipriani continues to be one of Sale’s stand-out players in his final season at the AJ Bell Stadium before he returns to Wasps at the end of the campaign.

So impressive has he been since joining the club, he has forced his way back into England reckoning, although he missed out on call-ups for the Rugby World Cup and the RBS 6 Nations.

The fly-half has 91 appearances for the Sharks and is just three points short of the 700- point mark ahead of today’s game.

Cipriani began his Aviva Premiership career with Wasps and has racked-up 973 top-flight points in 130 games during his time in Wycombe and Manchester.

He left Wasps in 2010 to sign for Melbourne Rebels, scoring 108 points in his final season there before joining Sale.

Having made his England debut in 2008, he fell out of favour under Martin Johnson but has been on the radar of late.

Josh Beaumont
Last season was one to remember for Beaumont, the son of former England captain Bill.

He began the campaign with just three Sale starts to his name but by the end of it had made another 26 appearances, been given a new contract, been named Players’ Player of the Year and been called into the England squad.

Soon after being chosen in the England Elite Squad for the first time this January, Josh not only led his club, Sale Sharks into a home quarter final in the European Challenge Cup but was also a try-scorer and became man of the match after the vital 38-5 win over Newport Gwent Dragons at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Josh then finished off a drive from a close-in line out for the only try of the game when the Sharks won at Welford Road against Leicester for the first time in eight years.

Beaumont joined the Sharks in the summer of 2012 on a dual-registration deal with Fylde after a spell in the Newcastle Falcons academy. He made his Sale debut in January 2013.

Peter Stringer
Stringer joined the Sharks from Bath Rugby last summer, signing a one-year contract.

The most-capped Irish scrum-half of all time, he made 98 appearances for his country and also played a record 230 times for Munster.

Stringer’s caps include seven Rugby World Cup appearances in 2003 and 2007 and 48 RBS 6 Nations appearances from 2000 till 2011, during which time he played alongside Warriors’ Donncha O’Callaghan.

The Sharks are his fourth Premiership club after spells with Saracens, Newcastle and Bath.

A Heineken Cup winner in 2006, Stringer’s professional career began back in 1998.
