TEAM NEWS: Cavaliers name strong side for Northampton test

Worcester Cavaliers have named a strong side for their final Aviva A League Northern Conference match against Northampton Wanderers at Franklin’s Gardens (kick-off 7.30pm).

The Cavaliers will be searching for their third win in five in the competition after seeing-off Sale Sharks and Leicester Tigers earlier in the campaign.

A pacey backline sees Ben Howard, Dean Hammond and Perry Humphreys in the back three, with the latter having bagged five tries in his last two appearances.

Ravai Fatiaki and Andy Short start in the centre while Ryan Lamb gets game-time at fly-half in a half-back combination with Charlie Mulchrone.

In the pack, Ryan Bower, Jack Singleton and Joe Rees occupy the front row, with Darren O’Shea and Dan Sanderson in the second row.

Huw Taylor will again lead the Cavaliers from the back row next to Mat Gilbert and Sam Ripper-Smith.

Three Pears Academy Manager Mark Hewitt said: “We’ll be looking to play some exciting rugby down at the Gardens and hopefully we can finish the campaign on a high.”
