Warriors Charity Golf Day a huge success

The Warriors Charity Golf Day took place last Thursday 21 April at Sapey Golf Club, with 18 teams from all over the Midlands raising funds for Warriors Charity Partner Acorns.

A number of the Warriors players took part, with Bryce Heem continuing his form on the pitch with some delicate touches on the golf course.

The event was won by Warriors Partner City Signs who scored 93 points on the stableford scoring system, closely followed by Lawson Keys with 87 and Exol Lubricants with 84.

Non-golfing players Tom Heathcote and Phil Dowson provided the refreshments and ensured that all teams kept within the strict rules of golf on an enjoyable afternoon in the North Worcestershire countryside.

Warriors Partnership Manager Leyton Williams added: “It was great to see so many companies supporting such a great cause.

“The course played superbly and just over £4,000 was raised for our Charity Partner Acorns.

“It was our first Charity Golf Day in a number of years and it’s an event we will replicate next year.

“A huge thanks goes to Sapey Golf Club who hosted the day superbly, and our sponsors City Signs, Greene King, Heineken and Thatchers Gold.”

Director of Income at Acorns Louise Arnold added: “We would like to thank the Warriors players, staff and partners that took part on the day, in raising another £4,000 for Acorns.

“It is a huge achievement and will take the total amount raised by the Warriors to over £19,000 for the year.”
