Warriors duo help England Under 20s book semi-final place

Huw Taylor and Jack Singleton were both part of the England Under 20s squad which booked their place in the semi-finals of the World Rugby Under 20 Championships on Wednesday evening.

Taylor started, while Singleton was named on the bench at the AJ Bel Stadium, as England ran-out 17-13 winners to cement their place at the top of Pool B.

It was England's third successive win of the tournament after triumphs over Italy and Scotland and Martin Haag's side now face South Africa in the last four, while Ireland take on Argentina.

Head Coach Haag said: “We came here aiming to make it three from three and we’ve done that. I’m delighted for the players.

“The performance was, however, not where we wanted it to be. Fair play to Australia, I thought they were superb, but we must be better if we are going to progress in this tournament.

“South Africa are going to by physical and well-drilled. We’ll keep the focus on ourselves and concentrate on ensuring there is a step up in our performance and will also need to go through the right recovery processes to be ready for Monday.”
