Warriors trio looking to help England book final place

Huw Taylor and Jack Singleton will both start for England in their Under 20 World Championship semi-final against South Africa on Monday night, while Andrew Kitchener has been named on the bench.

Taylor has started every game for England during the tournament as the promising youngsters recorded victories over Italy, Scotland and Australia to win Pool B.

And a win against South Africa would see England progress to the final two, where they would face the winners of the second semi-final between Ireland and Argentina.

England Head Coach Martin Haag believes his players are ready for the test against a side which won two of their three pool matches to qualify for the semi-finals.

He said: “There are 28 guys in the squad who have trained brilliantly so to leave anyone out is tough.

“I’ve been delighted with how everyone has had game time and gelled together in such a short space of time.”

Haag also believes home support can further inspire his side to progress next weekend’s World Rugby Under 20 Championship final.

He continued: “The players are hugely motivated about playing in a home semi-final, which is a once in a life-time opportunity for them at this level.

“In all the matches we have played the support for us has been huge and the fans have been absolutely superb.

“We want to make that stadium a fortress for us and there is no better feeling for those players standing on that pitch and singing the national anthem with a full stadium behind them.”
