Hogg – Warriors looking to put on a performance at home

Carl Hogg says his side are looking to put on a performance when their European Challenge Cup campaign comes to an end this Saturday.

Warriors will sign-off from European duties in front of their home fans as Russian side Enisei-STM visit Sixways (kick-off 2pm).

And, according to the Warriors Head Coach, his side want to finish in style.

He said: “Enisei-STM have a number of Russian internationals who played at the Rugby World Cup so we’re looking to put on a performance at home.”

“They are a hugely physical side with a big forward pack and they like to drive and play direct. They will present a challenge.”

Warriors will be looking for their second win of the competition after producing a much-improved performance during last weekend’s narrow defeat to Brive in France.

And Hogg says his side will include a number of the Club’s senior players as the side prepare for the return of Aviva Premiership rugby next month.

He continued: “We’ll put some senior players back in. It’s about building momentum ahead of the next block of Premiership games.

“Ben Te’o will be one of those. He is a quality player and we want to get him playing more regularly for us.

“He’s had one or two injuries so we’re looking forward to getting him out there this weekend. When he plays he’s hugely influential for us.”

Warriors announced the signing of Northampton Saints prop Ethan Waller earlier this week.

And Hogg says he is looking forward to Waller joining the Sixways ranks in the summer.

He added: “We’re delighted to bring Ethan to the Club. He’s a young player with a huge future and someone who wants to wear the Warriors shirt with pride.

“He’s been in the Northampton system for a while and he’s looking for an opportunity to play in the Premiership every week.

“The Premiership is about set-piece and scrum and we know he can deliver that. He’s got a huge appetite for work around the park as well so we’re looking forward to having him on board.

“We’ve got a number of players on the radar and we’re always looking to strengthen.”

Tickets for Saturday’s clash with Enisei-STM will be available at the gate. Adult tickets are available from £10 and Junior tickets are available from £5.
