Bolsover becomes Warriors Chairman

Warriors can today announce the appointment of Bill Bolsover CBE as the Club’s new Chairman.

Bolsover, who has been on the Warriors Board for the past four years, replaces Anthony Glossop who has stepped down as planned on reaching his 75th birthday and having served as Chairman for four years.

Bolsover is a former Group Chief Executive of Aggregate Industries plc and has a portfolio of directorships across a wide range of construction-related industries.

He moves into the Chairman role immediately while Glossop will remain as part of the Board.

Warriors’ owners Sixways Holdings Limited places on record its thanks to Anthony for his sterling work over the past four years and added that the Company was looking forward to working with Bill in his new capacity as they strive to take Warriors forward.

Bolsover said: “With the arrival today of Gary Gold as Director of Rugby, it is an exciting time for me to take on the Chairman’s role as we address the short-term goal of improving our league position and the longer-term challenge of making sure that our rugby operation is fit for the rigours of this league.”

In a separate development, rugby industry stalwart Edward Griffiths is consulting to Warriors on a short-term project, working on a review of the Sixways rugby operation.
