Bower signs Warriors contract extension

Loosehead prop Ryan Bower has agreed a new deal to remain at Sixways.

Bower, who joined Warriors from Leicester Tigers in the summer of 2014, played a vital role in his first season at the Club as Warriors won the British & Irish Cup and promotion to the Aviva Premiership.

He made 27 appearances in his first Sixways campaign and has gone on to play 52 times for the Club to date.

Bower has also been handed the captain’s armband for Warriors and Worcester Cavaliers fixtures in the past couple of seasons and recently impressed in his side’s memorable win over Saracens at Sixways in February.

The forward, who was included in England's 2011 Junior World Championship squad, made his debut for Leicester in 2010 and also enjoyed two loan spells at Nottingham Rugby.

Warriors Director of Rugby Gary Gold said: “Bowsers is a great professional. He always gives everything he’s got and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with his attitude and his performance on the field.

“He was called upon suddenly for our huge game with Saracens and put in a monumental performance and that’s a credit to the character he has.”

Bower added: “Having spent three years at Warriors, I’ve become very fond of the Club and also the city.

“I’ve made some great friends here as well. I really care about the Club and want to help push us in the right direction.”
