Who has been your Warriors Player of the Season for 2016/17?
In an eventful season, which included a bright start before a few bumps along the way, Warriors have turned things around to secure their top-flight status for next year following some impressive results in 2017.
With an injury crisis early on in the campaign, we’ve witnessed a number of young Warriors presented with opportunities and having grabbed them with both hands.
Josh Adams is a huge success story, having made his debut against Bath Rugby in September and having gone on to score 13 tries in 23 appearances.
Perry Humphreys has been another who’s established himself in the first-team, showing his extreme pace and power with some scintillating scores against Gloucester Rugby, Bath and Sale Sharks.
Dean Hammond has gone from strength to strength, with the winger scoring eight times in 17 appearances this season.
Jack Singleton is another youngster who’s made the step up this season. His Club debut in October was quickly followed by his Premiership debut in November – and he’s since gone on to play 18 times as he competes for the number two jersey.
And what about Warriors’ midfield duo of Jackson Willison and Wynand Olivier? Willison has been an ever-present in the side having played 22 times this season while Olivier has crossed the whitewash on eight occasions in 21 appearances this term.
Ryan Mills has shown his versatility by slotting in at fly-half in Warriors’ time of need – and has thoroughly impressed, controlling games and kicking 109 points in 15 starts.
Sam Lewis and Will Spencer had to wait for their turns in the side because of injury, but the pair have been monumental in Warriors’ recent upturn in form.
Nick Schonert and Val Rapava Ruskin have also been causing other packs headaches all season – maybe one of them will get your vote?
And who could forget Donncha O’Callaghan? The now 38-year-old has given everything all season and since taking over as captain, he’s led Warriors to 17 points in just seven Premiership games.
