International Round-Up

It was a busy weekend of international action for a number of Warriors and Valkyries.

Ben Te'o produced another impressive display for the British & Irish Lions who defeated the Maori All Blacks 32-10 in Rotorua.

The Warriors man will be hoping he gets the nod for Saturday's first Test with New Zealand.

England beat Argentina 35-25 in Santa Fe to secure a 2-0 series victory in Skills Coach Sam Vesty's second game in the role but sadly young hooker Jack Singleton didn't get on the field for his first cap.

Francois Hougaard came off the bench for South Africa who beat France 37-15 to win the three-match series with a game to play.

Will Butler and Justin Clegg made it to the final of the World Rugby Under 20 Championship but were overpowered 64-17 by New Zealand who picked up the trophy on Sunday.

Tom Dodd also played for Scotland Under 20s who beat Australia 24-17 to secure their highest-ever finish (5th) in the World Rugby Under 20 Championship.

On Friday, Alafoti Faosiliva came off the bench for Samoa against the All Blacks but the world's top side thumped them 78-0 at Eden Park.

Meanwhile, Lydia Thompson was again on the scoresheet for England Women as she and Rochelle Clark helped the Red Roses beat New Zealand 29-21 to finish the International Women's Rugby Series unbeaten.
