Warriors impress on international duty

Ben Te’o, Francois Hougaard and Alafoti Faosiliva were all in international action last weekend in the Southern Hemisphere.

Te'o started the Lions' first Test on Saturday as they were beaten 30-15 by the All Blacks but the Warriors centre was one of the standout players with a fine showing in midfield.

The powerful back made nine carries along with two offloads while also making all of his tackles – six in total.

Te'o also won a turnover before being replaced after 56 minutes.

Meanwhile, Francois Hougaard started in his 42nd appearance for the Springboks on Saturday as they saw off France 35-12 to secure a 3-0 series whitewash in Johannesburg.

The Warriors scrum-half made 27 metres with his seven carries while he also completed all of his tackles.

Samoa pushed Wales all the way on Friday at Apia Park but a late Steff Evans try stole a 19-17 win for the visitors.

Alafoti Faosiliva started the clash where he made 36 metres in his 11 carries, while also making all of his tackles.

The Warriors back row should be in action again on Saturday as the Samoans take on Tonga.
