International Round-Up

A host of Warriors and Valkyries have enjoyed a fine week of international action around the globe.

On Saturday Francois Hougaard came off the bench as South Africa got off to a winning start in the 2017 Rugby Championship, with a 37-15 win over Argentina in Port Elizabeth.

The scrum-half made his 43rd appearance for the Springboks who head to Salta for the return fixture against Argentina this coming Saturday.

Meanwhile four young Warriors were part of England Under 18s who finished their summer tour with a 52-22 victory over South Africa Schools in Cape Town.

Academy pair Nick Rigby and Nick David were both on the scoresheet in the victory while James Scott and Beck Cutting were also part of the squad.

Elsewhere England Women are preparing for their World Cup semi-final against France which is live on ITV4 this Tuesday at 7.45pm.

Valkyries pair Lydia Thompson and Rochelle Clark have both been regulars in the England side as they won three out of three in the pool stage.

Shona Powell-Hughes and Dyddgu Hywel are part of the Wales squad who face Canada in the fifth-place semi-final on Tuesday at 5pm.
