International Round-up

Six Warriors were involved in international action at the weekend with two of them scoring for their countries in impressive victories.

Joe Taufete’e continued his incredible try-scoring form with another brace as USA pulled off a huge upset to defeat Scotland 30-29 and claim their first win over a tier-one international side.

The front-rower took his USA tally to 12 tries in 16 games and is closing in on the record for an international hooker – currently held by Ireland’s Keith Wood with 15. You can check out the highlights here.

Meanwhile Josh Adams scored his first try for Wales as he helped his country complete a series win over Argentina with a 30-12 win in Santa Fe.

The winger scored a scintillating individual try in the first half in his fourth appearance for Wales.

Elsewhere four young Warriors were unable to help England overcome hosts France in the World Rugby Under 20 Championship final.

James Scott, Ted Hill, Beck Cutting and Will Butler were part of the squad in a 33-25 defeat in Beziers. You can watch highlights by clicking here.

Head Coach Steve Bates said: “It’s tough to take when you’ve got a group of players who have worked so hard together and developed so much over the season.

“I hope the past three weeks have been an enjoyable and important experience for the players and will play a crucial part in their development.”
