Fly-half Duncan Weir and hooker Isaac Miller will make their first Worcester Warriors appearances on Friday night as Alan Solomons’ side take on Benetton Rugby at Stadio di Monigo (kick-off 7.30pm BST).
Warriors have named a 28-man squad for the pre-season clash, with fellow new signings Francois Venter and Scott van Breda included on the bench, along with Callum Black who could make his first appearance since re-joining the Club.
Chris Pennell is joined by Dean Hammond and Perry Humphreys in the back three while 18-year-old Academy youngster Ollie Lawrence forms a central partnership with Ryan Mills. Scotland international Weir links up with Springbok Francois Hougaard in the half-back pairing.
Ryan Bower, Isaac Miller and Gareth Milasinovich start in the front row with Anton Bresler and Darren Barry in the second row.
Recently-appointed Club captain GJ van Velze leads the side from the back row alongside Alafoti Faosiliva and Sam Lewis.
