Worcester Valkyries will kick off their home campaign this Saturday as they prepare to take on Richmond Women at Sixways (kick-off 2pm).
A much-improved Valkyries ran in four tries in their opening game of the season but narrowly missed out on victory against Darlington Mowden Park Sharks as they were edged 27-24 at the Northern Echo Arena.
Last weekend saw a trip to Saracens Women where they were defeated 43-7 by the reigning champions, but the ladies produced a much-improved display from last season’s outings against the league’s top team.
But this weekend provides a different test, as Richmond arrive at Sixways.
They currently sit bottom of the log with just one point from their two games while Valkyries sit just above them with their two points picked up in Darlington.
Tickets for Saturday’s match are FREE for Warriors Season Ticket holders and Under 18s while being £7.50 for all others.
