Warriors youngsters on club duty this weekend

Three members of the Three Pears Warriors Academy will be gaining valuable experience of senior rugby with Greene King IPA Championship or National One clubs this weekend.

Fly-half Luke Scully will continue his involvement with Hartpury who face London Irish in the Championship Rugby Cup at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday.

Full-back Nick David and wing Alex Hearle will again be on duty with Birmingham Moseley for their National One away trip to Ampthill on Saturday.

The trio of Warriors players are on dual registration arrangements similar to those that have seen hooker Beck Cutting and lock James Scott, who are in the squad for Friday’s European Challenge Cup match in Pau, also play for Hartpury this season.

Meanwhile prop Joe Morris, another member of the Three Pears Warriors Academy, is celebrating having helped Oxford University to a 38-16 win over Cambridge in the Varsity Match at Twickenham on Thursday.

The tighthead from King Edward VI School in Aston won his second Blue after a first appearance in the historic fixture in 2016 and helped Oxford deny Cambridge a third successive win.
