Warriors set for another cup cracker

Warriors return to cup action on Sunday 3 February when they face Wasps in a Derby Day fixture in the Premiership Rugby Cup at Sixways (kick-off 3.00pm).

Warriors have already secured their place in the knockout stages of the European Challenge Cup where they clinched a home quarter-final against Harlequins with a dramatic last-gasp victory over Stade Francais.

They will now attempt to progress to the semi-finals of the new Premiership Rugby Cup, a competition which has replaced the Anglo-Welsh Cup.

Warriors top Pool Two having beaten Sale Sharks and Leicester Tigers and secured a try bonus point at Saracens in their first three matches.

Warriors players and coaches have enjoyed a mid-season break as part of the Premiership Rugby schedule which has been an opportunity for them to recharge their batteries after seven months of training and matches which began with the pre-season friendly in Treviso against Benetton in August.

“After the match against Stade both players and staff will be having a well-earned week’s break,” said Warriors Director of Rugby Alan Solomons.

“We have all been hard at it since we gathered together for pre-season in June of last year and the break will give everyone a chance to rest up and recharge their batteries for the challenges that lie ahead.”

The players and coaches will return for training on Monday 28 January to prepare for the Derby Day match against Wasps.

Tickets for Wasps are available from £12 for Adults and £5 for Juniors and can be purchased by clicking here, visiting the Warriors Ticket Office or calling 01905 459309.
