Adams to start for Wales in Paris

Warriors winger Josh Adams will win his seventh Wales cap in the Guinness Six Nations opener against France at the Stade de France on Friday (kick-off 8.00pm GMT).

Adams made his debut in the Six Nations victory over Scotland in Cardiff 12 months ago and has started in five more internationals since, the most recent against South Africa in the Autumn Internationals in November.

The 23-year-old joined Warriors Academy from Scarlets after he impressed for Wales in the 2015 World Rugby Under-20s Championship. He made his Warriors debut in 2016 and has scored 33 tries for the club in all competitions.

“We are looking forward to kicking off the Six Nations and kicking off our 2019 campaign as a whole,” said Wales head coach Warren Gatland.

“We come into the game on an impressive run of results but we know how tough it will be to face France in Paris in the tournament opener.

“It will be a huge contest but we are excited going into it. We have a great deal of experience across the team and on the bench and we want to kick things off well on Friday.”
