Warriors set for Acorns Charity Matchday

Rugby fans can enjoy VIP treatment when Worcester Warriors and Acorns Children’s Hospice host their annual Charity Matchday later this month.

Acorns and Warriors have once again teamed up to help fund the charity’s vital work caring for life limited and life threatened children.

The fundraiser, which is this year taking place on Sunday 24 February, will see Warriors face off against Leicester Tigers at Sixways Stadium.

Ticketholders will not only be able to enjoy the clash in the comfort of the Acorns charity lounge, but can also enjoy a special Q&A with Warriors players and the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Annesa Hussain, Corporate Partnerships Officer for Acorns, said: “This is the ultimate rugby experience! You’ll get to see two of the region’s biggest clubs go head to head in the comfort of our charity lounge – all while raising money for a fantastic cause.

“We have such an incredible partnership with Warriors and we’re so grateful to the Club and supporters who get behind us time and time again, especially as we rely on the local community to raise the majority of the funds we need to continue our work caring for children and families.”

Warriors Operations Director Peter Kelly said: “The Club’s relationship with Acorns has gone from strength-to-strength once again this season and we are looking forward to hosting this season’s Charity Matchday later this month.

“Warriors have worked with Acorns for 14 years and our supporters continue to dig deep and offer their wholehearted support, which is appreciated by everyone at the Club and at Acorns.

“Our game against Leicester is another big one for us so we hope we can raise as much money as possible.”

Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care to children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions, as well as support for their families.

In the past year, the charity has cared for more than 870 children and supported more than 1,140 families, including those who are bereaved.

A limited number of Charity Lounge tickets, which include a one-course meal, are available now priced at £30 for adults and £20 for children (under 16) and £15 for Season Ticket holders (lounge access and one-course meal only).

Standing tickets are also available priced at £20 for adults and £15 for children.
