Sixways set for return to Premiership action

Sixways is set to stage Gallagher Premiership rugby for the first time in six weeks.

Leicester Tigers will be the visitors to Sixways on Sunday February 24 (kick-off 1.00pm) which will be Warriors first home Premiership match since their last gasp victory over Bath on January 5.

Bryce Heem’s second try in the 19th minute of added time clinched a dramatic fourth league win of the season for Warriors.

Since then Warriors booked their place in the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup and reached the semi-finals of the Premiership Rugby Cup.

They returned to Premiership action by securing a try bonus point in a high-scoring defeat against Harlequins at The Stoop and now turn their attention to Leicester.

“If we are to climb the table we need to put some performances together where we come away with points,” said Warriors flanker Ted Hill.

“We are in a positive place and we are a team that will take something from the Harlequins match, we will learn from it and we will come back stronger.”

Warriors will be seeking a third win of the season over Leicester after a thrilling 44-37 win at Welford Road in September and a 31-12 win back there in the Premiership Rugby Cup in November.

The Leicester Tigers match is Warriors’ annual Acorns Charity Match with a range of fund-raising initiatives for the local children’s hospice.

Early bird ticket prices for Warriors v Leicester Tigers are available until February 18. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
