Valkyries Centre of Excellence prop Lily Giles has been included in the England Women Under-18s Talent Development Group squad for Tuesday’s match against Emerging Wales at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff (kick-off 6.00pm).
Giles, who comes from Tamworth has been named among the replacements for the match which will be the TDG’s second of the season following a victory over Scotland last month.
The TDG is a part of the England Women performance pathway which identifies emerging talent at Under-18s level and provides meaningful playing opportunities.
“This is a great, competitive development opportunity for this group as it provides them with the necessary experience of preparing for meaningful matches like these,” said Lead coach and RFU Performance Pathway Officer James Cooper.
“Across our last two fixtures, 38 players have pulled on an England jersey which is fantastic and demonstrates that we’re in a very good place in terms of our identification and development of young talent.”
