Top sevens action comes to Sixways

Sixways will be staging some top sevens action next month when the first Summer 7s comes to Worcester.

The region’s newest sevens tournament, which will be played on Saturday July 13, has already attracted entries from teams from across the Midlands and South West plus Cleveland Cougars, an established invitational sevens side from the North East.

The women’s tournament has attracted entries from Worcester Women and Tewkesbury among others.

The finals of the tournaments for Men and Women will be played on the main stadium pitch with admission free for Warriors Season Ticket Holders and juniors and just £5 for everyone else.

It’s not too late to enter a team for the Summer 7s. The cost is £250 per team and you can enter here.

We are also running a competition for one free team entry into the tournament – one entry for both Men’s and Women’s teams – which will be drawn on June 10.

All teams who enter by June 10 will receive 12 customised playing playing shirts, with their own club colours, club crest and events sponsors VXR.

There is also camping available for teams and their supporters who want to make a weekend of it. The cost of camping is £100 per four-man tent and the campsite will be open from July 12 to 14.

There will be music, beer and entertainment throughout the weekend at the Summer 7s.

Details of the Summer 7s can be found at @worcssummer7s on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
