Warriors support Worcester Foodbank appeal

Warriors are supporting an urgent appeal for donations to the Worcester Foodbank.

The Foodbank is running low on essential items at its Lowesmoor warehouse with the charity having already supported more than 3,100 clients in the first six months of this year, up 800 from the same period in 2018.

The charity has launched a Fill Up For Foodbank appeal and Warriors supporters can help by donating non-perishable essentials to help replenish stocks.

A collection box has been placed in the main reception at Sixways where donated items can be left during office hours for the rest of this week.

The items needed by the Worcester Foodbank are: tinned fish, peanut butter, tinned potatoes, pasta sauce, crackers, rice, tinned tomatoes, tinned meat, tinned fruit, small bottles of cooking oil, rice pudding, meat paste, tinned custard, squash, UHT juice, mashed potatoes, UHT milk, microwaveable pasta, pot noodles, nappies (sizes four to six), small jars of coffee, washing power (small), jam, shampoo, shaving foam/gel, razors, unisex deodorant, anti-bacterial spray and dog food.

Items should be unopened, undamaged and still within their use by date.

Warriors donated more than 500 items to the Foodbank last year as part of the club’s Christmas Campaign.
