Warriors fuel Worcester Foodbank

Warriors have again helped to fuel the Worcester Foodbank.

The Foodbank launched a Fill Up For Foodbank appeal for donations after it ran low on essential supplies at its warehouse in Lowesmoor.

Warriors responded by putting a collection box in the main reception at Sixways and collected almost 75kg of essential items which have now been delivered to the Foodbank.

The charity has already supported more than 3,100 clients in the first six months of this year, up 800 from the same period in 2018.

Warriors would like to thank all supporters who joined staff in donating to the Worcester Foodbank. A further collection is planned for later in the year.

In the meantime donations can still be made direct to the Foodbank.

The shopping list of items required by the Worcester Foodbank are: tinned fish, peanut butter, tinned potatoes, pasta sauce, crackers, rice, tinned tomatoes, tinned meat, tinned fruit, small bottles of cooking oil, rice pudding, meat paste, tinned custard, squash, UHT juice, mashed potatoes, UHT milk, microwaveable pasta, pot noodles, nappies (sizes four to six), small jars of coffee, washing power (small), jam, shampoo, shaving foam/gel, razors, unisex deodorant, anti-bacterial spray and dog food.

Items should be unopened, undamaged and still within their use by date.
